The World Magnetic Model is updated and released every five years but 'this' release is unprecedented
by erratic changes in the northern Artic pole region (satellite data in 2018 apparently confirmed this). I've no clue how or why the increase shift happened since 2015, but it's concerning indeed. All GPS data is affected...military, airlines, cell phones, rescue operations, and yes Google will need updated!!!
